The purpose of this web-page is to shed light on Jesus's comment:
(John
14:15)
If you love me, obey my commands
According to this verse, loving Jesus
is by obeying His commandments.
Within Matthew, Mark, Luke and John Jesus gave us over sixty commandments.
The listing is no particular order.

JESUS' COMMANDS

GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS TEACHING THEM TO OBEY MY COMMANDS AND BAPTIZE THEM
Go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:19-20)
IF YOU LOVE ME OBEY WHAT I COMMMAND
If you love me, keep my commandments.(John 14:15) Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him. (John 14:23)
“Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things which I say? Everyone who comes to me, and hears my words, and does them, I will show you who he is like. He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it was founded on the rock. But he who hears, and doesn’t do, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.” (Luke 6:4649)
GIVE UP EVERYTHING YOU TREASURE AND FOLLOW ME
Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me. (Matthew 19:21)
So therefore whoever of you who doesn't renounce all that he has, he can’t be my disciple. (Luke 14:33)
YOU CANNOT SERVE BOTH GOD AND MONEY
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon. (Matthew 6:24)
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
You know the commandments: 'Do not murder,' 'Do not commit adultery,' 'Do not steal,' 'Do not give false testimony,' 'Do not defraud,' 'Honor your father and mother.' (Mark 10:19)
God spoke all these words, saying, "I am Yahweh your God, who brought
you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
"You shall have no other gods before me.
"You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything
that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that
is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to
them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and
on the fourth generation of those who hate me, and showing loving
kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my
commandments.
"You shall not take the name of Yahweh your God in vain, for Yahweh
will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. You shall labor six days,
and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your
God. You shall not do any work in it, you, nor your son, nor your
daughter, your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your
livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates; for in six days
Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and
rested the seventh day; therefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day, and
made it holy.
"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the
land which Yahweh your God gives you.
"You shall not murder.
"You shall not commit adultery.
"You shall not steal.
"You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
"You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your
neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his
ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.” (exodus 20:1-17)
LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD; LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF
Jesus answered, "The greatest is, 'Hear, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one: you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. The second is like this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:29:31)
Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:37-39)
ABIDE IN ME, AND LET ME ABIDE IN YOU
"I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer. Every branch in me that doesn't bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If a man doesn't remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.(John 15:4-7)
LOVE OTHER PEOPLE AS I HAVE LOVED YOU
"This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. (John 15:12)
DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU.
Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets. (Matthew 7:12)
"As you would like people to do to you, do exactly so to them. (Luke 6:31)
LOVE YOUR ENEMIESBut I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:44-45)
But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil. (Luke 6:35)
"But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. (Luke 6:27-28)
BE LIKE THE GOOD SAMARITAN
He said, "He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise.” (Luke 10:37)
FORGIVE EVERYONE AND BE FORGIVEN
"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. (Matthew 6:14-15)
Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions.” (Mark 11:25-26)
DO NOT JUDGE LEST YOU BE JUDGED
Don't judge, and you won't be judged. Don't condemn, and you won't be condemned. Set free, and you will be set free. (Luke 6:37)
"Don't judge, so that you won't be judged. 2 For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you. ( Matthew 7:1-2)
WHATEVER YOU BIND OR LOOSE ON EARTH WILL BE BOUND IN HEAVEN
Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven. (Matthew 18:18)
FORGIVE REPEATED SINS
Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him. If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him.” (Luke 17:3-4)
Then Peter came and said to him, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?” (Matthew 18:21)
GIVE WHAT PEOPLE ASK OF YOU, AND GIVE MORE THAN IS REQUIRED
If anyone sues you to take away your coat, let him have your cloak also. Whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks you, and don't turn away him who desires to borrow from you. (Matthew 5:40-42)
DO NOT RESIST AN EVIL PERSON
But I tell you, don't resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also. (Matthew 5:39)
BE MERCIFUL
"Therefore be merciful, even as your Father is also merciful. (Luke 6:36)
FREELY GIVE AS YOU HAVE BEEN FREELY GIVEN
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give. (Matthew 10:8)
WASH ONE ANOTHER'S FEET
If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. (John 13:14)
GIVE CAESAR WHAT IS HIS AND TO GOD WHAT IS GOD'S
They said to him, "Caesar's.” Then he said to them, "Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.” (Matthew 22:21)
Jesus answered them, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.” They marveled greatly at him. (Mark 12:17)
He said to them, "Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.” (Luke 20:25)
STORE UP YOUR TREASURES IN HEAVEN, NOT ON EARTH
"Don't lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don't break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21)
YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN
Don't marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born anew.' (John 3:7)
CHANGE AND BECOME LIKE A CHILD
and said, "Most certainly I tell you, unless you turn, and become as little children, you will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever therefore humbles himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. (Matthew 18:3-4)
WHATEVER CAUSES YOU TO SIN, GET RID OF IT
If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna. If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna. (Matthew 5:29-30)
If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into the eternal fire. (Matthew 18:8)
HEAL THE SICKHeal the sick, cleanse the lepers,† and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give. (Matthew 10:8)
HUMBLE YOURSELF - DO NOT TAKE THE TITLES 'MASTER' OR 'FATHER' FOR YOURSELF
But don't you be called 'Rabbi,' for one is your teacher, the Christ, and all of you are brothers. Call no man on the earth your father, for one is your Father, he who is in heaven. Neither be called masters, for one is your master, the Christ. But he who is greatest among you will be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. (Matthew 23:8-12)
BE PERFECT
Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. (Matthew 5:48)
DON'T BLASPHEME AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT
but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation. (Mark 3:29)
Everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but those who blaspheme against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. (Luke 12:10)
FOLLOW THE NARROW PATH TO LIFE
Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. (Matthew 7:13)
LOSE YOURSELF FOR MY SAKE TO GAIN ETERNAL LIFE
He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it. (Matthew 10:39)
He said to them, "Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children, for God's Kingdom's sake, 30 who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the world to come, eternal life.” (Luke 18:29)
DO NOT INDUCE OTHERS TO SIN
He said to the disciples, "It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble. Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him. (Luke 17:1-3)
PART WITH ANYTHING (HOWEVER DEAR) THAT CAUSES YOU TO SIN
If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna. (Matthew 5:29)
LET PEOPLE SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS
Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)
END DISPUTES QUICKLY
Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are with him on the way; lest perhaps the prosecutor deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison. (Matthew 5:25)
DO NOT SWEAR OATHS AT ALL
but I tell you, don't swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God; 35 nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. 36 Neither shall you swear by your head, for you can't make one hair white or black. (Matthew 5:34-37)
LOVE LITTLE CHILDREN, DO NOT DESPISE THEM
See that you don't despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 18:10)
RESOLVE DISPUTES IN AN ORDERLY WAY
"If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. 16 But if he doesn't listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.✡ 17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector. (Matthew 18:15-17)
DO NOT OPPOSE OTHER BELIEVERS IN CHRIST WHO ARE NOT IN YOUR GROUP
John said to him, "Teacher, we saw someone who doesn't follow us casting out demons in your name; and we forbade him, because he doesn't follow us.” But Jesus said, "Don't forbid him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name, and be able quickly to speak evil of me. For whoever is not against us is on our side. (Mark 9:38-40)
ASK GOD FOR WHATEVER YOU WANT TO HAVE
"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. (Matthew 7:7)
Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. (Mark 11:24)
"I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. (Luke 11:9-10)
PRAY PRIVATELY AND SIMPLY
But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. (Matthew 6:6)
MAKE YOUR PRAYERS BE LIKE THE LORD'S PRAYER
Pray like this: 'Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. 10 Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. 13 Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.' (Matthew 6:9-13)
When he finished praying in a certain place, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples.” He said to them, "When you pray, say, 'Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'”(Luke 11:1-4)
PRAY FOR THOSE WHO PERSECUTE YOU
But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:44-45)
WHEN YOU FAST, DO IT SECRETLY, NOT FOR SHOW
"Moreover when you fast, don't be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you. (Matthew 6:16-18)
MAKE GOD YOUR HIGHEST PRIORITY, AND HE WILL TAKE CARE OF ALL YOUR NEEDSBut seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33)
DON'T BE AFRAID; JUST BELIEVE
and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and God's Kingdom is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.” (Mark 1:15)
But Jesus, when he heard the message spoken, immediately said to the ruler of the synagogue, "Don't be afraid, only believe.” (Mark 5:36)
But Jesus hearing it, answered him, "Don't be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.” (Luke 8:50)
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. (John 14:27)
DO NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR MATERIAL NEEDS.
Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? (Matthew 6:25)
DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE FUTURE
Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient. (Matthew 6:34)
HAVE TOTAL FAITH IN GOD FOR EVERYTHING
Jesus answered them, "Have faith in God. For most certainly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and doesn't doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening; he shall have whatever he says. Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. (Mark 11:22-24)
BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS
"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. 1(Matthew 7:15)
DO NOT GIVE HOLY THINGS TO DOGS OR CAST YOUR PEARLS BEFORE SWINE
"Don't give that which is holy to the dogs, neither throw your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.(Matthew 7:6)
EAT BREAD AND DRINK WINE IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME
He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and gave to them, saying, "This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.” Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. (Luke 22:19-20)
THE WORK OF GOD IS THIS: TO BELIEVE IN THE ONE HE HAS SENT
Jesus answered them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” (John 6:29)
GIVE TO THE POOR TO PLEASE GOD, NOT TO GAIN APPROVAL FROM OTHER PEOPLE
"Be careful that you don't do your charitable giving before men, to be seen by them, or else you have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. Therefore when you do merciful deeds, don't sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.(Matthew 6:1-2)
FEED THE HUNGRY, CLOTHE THE NAKED, SHELTER THE HOMELESS, COMFORT THOSE IN DISTRESS
Then the King will tell those on his right hand, 'Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.' "Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?' "The King will answer them, 'Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.' (Matthew 25:34-40)
BE PREPARED FOR YOUR MASTER TO RETURN
Therefore be ready also, for the Son of Man is coming in an hour that you don't expect him.” (Luke 12:40)
REPENT - THE KINDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND
From that time, Jesus began to preach, and to say, "Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand." (Matthew 4:17)
I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way. (Luke 13:3)
