life finds a way

lots of peace and quiet up here

Those who believe, and whose hearts find comfort in the remembrance of God. Surely, it is in the remembrance of God that hearts find comfort.
Quran 13:28

I find that when I spend time thinking about myself (especially what happened in the past and what may happen in the future), I feel worse.

When I think about God (One, Merciful, Forbearing, Creator, Cherisher and Sustainer, Owner of all that is, Loving, Wise, Almighty ...) and God's bounty I feel better - even peaceful.

So simple! That's why I meditate on God and his bounty every day for at least 40 minutes and pray three times per day formally. Time away from myself.

Many years ago when I took flying lessons my instructor, on the first flight, said: "This is really pretty easy - pull the stick back and the houses get small - push the stick forward and the houses get larger. Little did I realize that he was sharing a profound spiritual truth that I only discovered several years later. As it is with houses and flying, so it is with suffering and peace. So simple - it's just a choice of where to fly (put my attention)

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
Matthew 6:25

May the Lord shower you with His mercy and bless your affairs with His guidance.
